We have Library class with Mrs. Bryce on Tuesdays, please remember to bring in your library books!! 

Classroom book bags and Reading Homework 

In the month of January we will review and revisit the expectations for reading bags and nightly reading homework. Please make sure that your child is returning their book bag to school EACH day. We use them during Readers' Workshop. Please remember that students can read at home on Raz Kids too!

Ornament Making Workshops and Winter Solstice 

On Monday and Tuesday we spent time making ornaments from nature to decorate our tree! This year we made snowy owl ornaments, cranberry hearts and birch wood snowmen. Students also made Yule logs to share with their families! Thank you to Wade Chivington for cutting all of the wood and helping us drill and create! 

                              

Holiday Concert 

The first and second graders did a wonderful job performing at the concert! It was so fun to watch! 

The S.D. Ireland Holiday truck made a special appearance at this year's concert! 

Visiting our New Tepee 

This week we braved the cold and bundled up to visit our new tepee! We spent time checking out the inside, and planning how our class will use this awesome outdoor resource.

Secret Santa Workshop

This year was another awesome year for making special gifts for our friends here at school. On Wednesday the whole school was broken up into small groups, and visited various classrooms to work with different teachers and para-educators to make a special gift for a friend! At our party on Friday, we opened our gifts and thanked our friends for the effort and time spent making gifts for each other! 

Holiday Party/ Pajama Day 

What fun we had at our Holiday Party. We began by exchanging gifts with our Secret Santa! It was really sweet how kind and thoughtful the students were! Students decorated their own sugar cookie, enjoyed some tasty snacks and celebrated a student's birthday!! We welcomed lots of parents and siblings too! Later we bundled up and went outside to play and do some sledding.  Here are some pictures from our wonderful day!
