Animal Biodiversity Engineering Task
The first and second graders will be wrapping up our unit of study on animals around the world in the coming weeks. In this unit, students began to develop an understanding of the world's animal biodiversity. They explored animal classification and the traits that define each group. Students then turned their focus to habitats and how the surrounding environment affects what organisms live in a particular environment.
On Friday, January 21 we will begin an engineering task together. Students will work in teams to plan a prototype of a bird feeder, and then build a bird feeder to attract a specific kind of bird. We are looking for building supplies for this upcoming project. If your family can donate any of the following supplies please send them to school with your student!
